The official second kit of Torino Calcio for the 2004/2005 season, in its Player Issued version, is a rare and historically significant relic of vintage Italian football. The Asics away kit is white with the distinctive claret band of micro-perforated diamonds across the chest — a technical and stylistic element exclusive to the match-day supply of the era — embellished with the claret rampant bull in relief at the centre. Massimo Marazzina (Lodi, July 16, 1974) is one of the most prolific Italian strikers of his generation in the lower leagues. Having come up through Inter's youth system, he built his career through Foggia, Chievo Verona — where he became a key player in the famous "Chievo Miracle" — Reggina, Roma, Sampdoria, and Modena, before joining Torino in the summer of 2004. In claret, he experienced the most memorable season of his career: wearing the number 11, in the 2004/2005 Serie B season, he was the absolute driving force for Torino, finishing the championship as the top scorer with 20 goals in total — 14 in the league, 2 in the playoffs, and 4 in the Coppa Italia. Decisive in the playoff semi-finals against Ascoli and in the final against Perugia, he led Toro to promotion to Serie A, a sporting achievement earned on the field after years away from the top flight. That season remains in the memory of Torino fans as one of the most exciting of the 2000s, and Marazzina's number 11 jersey is its most authentic and rare sporting document. Today Marazzina is a coach, with experience in American soccer as head coach of Sarasota Metropolis FC.
