Spezia and the 1944 scudetto

Founded in 1906, Spezia wears a unique symbol in Italian football on its chest: the 1944 scudetto. That year, in the midst of the war, the Spezia Firefighters (Vigili del Fuoco) team won the Alta Italia Championship, defeating the "Grande Torino" and Venezia in the final. In 2002, the Federation officially recognized that achievement as an honorary title, and since then, the club has proudly displayed it alongside its crest. In the 2010/11 season, the Aquilotti played in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione, on the path that would lead them back to Serie B.

What is a Player Issued jersey?

A Player Issued jersey is a kit prepared for the first team squad, featuring the numbers, patches, and finishes of the official kit, but not necessarily worn in a match. It ranks above the Store version and below the Match Worn version in the collectible hierarchy. This example bears only the number 11 without a name, as was often the case for reserve kits in the squad, and therefore cannot be attributed to a specific player. For a club like Spezia, then in Lega Pro, these are pieces produced in very small quantities and are now very rare.
