The artist: Salvatore Esposito

Salvatore Esposito was born in Naples on February 2, 1986, and grew up in Mugnano di Napoli. After training at the Beatrice Bracco Theater Academy and the Naples Film School, he moved to Rome where in 2013 he got his first television role in Il clan dei camorristi. His breakthrough came in 2014 with Gomorrah - The Series, based on Roberto Saviano's novel, in which he played Gennaro Genny Savastano for five seasons, a role that brought him international fame and for which he lost twenty kilos to portray his physical transformation. In 2020, he debuted in the American market in the fourth season of the series Fargo, playing mafia boss Gaetano Fadda. Also active in cinema in productions such as Puoi baciare lo sposo and Taxi 5, in 2016 he published the autobiographical book Non volevo diventare un boss with Rizzoli. Considered one of the most recognizable faces of Italian cinema and television abroad, Salvatore Esposito continues to distinguish himself in international productions.
