In 2018, he played Stefano Cucchi in Sulla mia pelle, winning the David di Donatello, while in 2023 he won a second Nastro d'Argento for best leading actor for Le otto montagne. With a career spanning from auteur cinema to international productions like Diavoli with Patrick Dempsey, Alessandro Borghi is now one of the most talented and sought-after Italian actors of his generation.
