Mirko Pieri's Player Issued jersey: an authentic document of early millennium Italian football

The first official Udinese Calcio jersey for the 2002/2003 season in the Player Issued version is a rare relic of Italian football. Made in Italy by technical sponsor Le Coq Sportif, it features the exclusive finishes and technical details reserved for the team's supply, invisible in commercial versions for fans. The internal label certifies the 100% polyester composition and Made in Italy production, distinctive elements of the sartorial quality reserved for professionals of the top Italian league. The back is customized with the name PIERI and the number 26, worn by Mirko Pieri during his time in Friuli in Serie A. On the front is the Bernardi sponsor in orange, the embroidered club logo, and the red Le Coq Sportif crocodile, while on the left sleeve, the official Lega Calcio patch is sewn, testifying to its use in Serie A. The jersey is preserved in Excellent vintage superb condition, with fabric and colors perfectly intact more than twenty years after its production.

The player: Mirko Pieri

Mirko Pieri (Grosseto, 24 July 1978) is an Italian left-back who built his career with tenacity and professionalism in Italian leagues for over a decade. Starting at Grosseto, he made a leap of four categories in 2000, going directly to Perugia in Serie A, where he also debuted in the UEFA Intertoto Cup. In 2002, he moved to Udinese, where he remained for five consecutive seasons in Serie A, becoming a mainstay of the Friulian defense. With the Bianconeri, he participated in the historic qualification for the 2003/04 UEFA Cup, a competition in which Udinese overcame Salzburg and achieved significant international results. After his Friulian experience, he moved to Sampdoria and then Livorno, before embarking on a coaching career in the youth sector. The number 26 jersey with Udinese represents the heart of his professional career in Serie A: an authentic piece of Italian football history from the early millennium.

What is a Player Issued jersey?

A Player Issued jersey is a uniform prepared specifically for a particular player but not necessarily worn in an official match. It differs from the commercial version due to a series of precise technical characteristics: professional finishes, internal labels with composition and technical match details, and cuts and materials exclusively reserved for team supply. It is hierarchically superior to the store version and inferior only to the Match Worn. For collectors, it represents an authentic piece of extremely high historical and commercial value, often impossible to find on the market years after its production. The customization with the player's name and number certifies its belonging to the official squad and significantly increases its collectible value over time.
