Miguel Veloso (Coimbra, May 11, 1986) is a Portuguese midfielder with a long career in Portugal, Italy and Ukraine, playing for Sporting Lisbon, Genoa and Dinamo Kiev, where he won two championships and two national cups. Arriving at Hellas Verona in the summer of 2019 as a free agent, he immediately became captain of the Scaligeri team, leading the Gialloblù to a surprising salvation in his first season under the guidance of Ivan Jurić. A quality playmaker with silent leadership, he remained in Verona until 2023, totaling almost one hundred appearances in Serie A with the Scaligeri jersey before ending his career at Pisa in 2024. A career that made him one of the most respected midfielders in Italian football of the 2010s.
