Ezio Nereo Greggio was born in Cossato, in the province of Biella, on April 7, 1954. He made his television debut in 1972 on Telebiella, then moved to Rai in 1978 as a comedian. In 1988, along with Antonio Ricci, he hosted Odiens and subsequently Paperissima, before starting the Striscia la Notizia adventure, which he has continuously hosted with Enzo Iacchetti since 1994. Also active in cinema, he debuted as an actor in 1980 with Sbamm! and in 2008 received the Nastro d'Argento for his first dramatic performance in Pupi Avati's Il papà di Giovanna. Director of several films, including Il silenzio dei prosciutti and Box Office 3D, he has won a total of 26 Telegatti and 31 Oscar TV awards throughout his career. Founder in 1995 of the Ezio Greggio Association for the assistance of premature babies, he remains one of the most iconic and long-standing faces of Italian television.
