Ezio Nereo Greggio was born in Cossato, in the province of Biella, on April 7, 1954. He made his television debut in 1972 on Telebiella, then moved to Rai in 1978 as a comedian. In 1988, together with Antonio Ricci, he hosted Odiens and subsequently Paperissima, before starting the Striscia la Notizia adventure, which he has continuously co-hosted with Enzo Iacchetti since 1994. Also active in cinema, he debuted as an actor in 1980 with Sbamm! and in 2008 received the Nastro d'Argento for his first dramatic interpretation in Il papà di Giovanna by Pupi Avati. Director of several films, including Il silenzio dei prosciutti and Box Office 3D, he has won a total of 26 Telegatti and 31 Oscar TV awards during his career. Founder of the Ezio Greggio Association for the assistance of premature babies in 1995, he remains one of the most iconic and long-lasting faces of Italian television.
