Alessandro Britti, known as Alex Britti, was born in Rome on August 23, 1968. Passionate about guitar since childhood, he received his first instrument at the age of eight and at seventeen founded his first blues band, with which he performed in Roman clubs. In his youth, he traveled across Europe as a supporter for big names in international blues, including Buddy Miles, Billy Preston, and Rosa King. After a debut album as a singer-songwriter went unnoticed in 1992, he signed with Universal Music and in 1999 rose to prominence by winning the New Talents section of the Sanremo Festival with "Oggi sono io". Over ten albums and numerous radio hits followed, such as "La vasca", "7000 caffè", and "Una su un milione", which established him as one of the best Italian guitarists and singer-songwriters of his generation. A great enthusiast and collector of guitars, he owns over fifty.
