Autographed Photograph – Peter Hinwood – Rocky Horror with Tim Curry – COA Included

Peter Hinwood's autographed photograph: a very rare piece from The Rocky Horror Picture Show

A rare collector's item: a 25x20 cm color photograph depicting a cult scene from The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), the famous horror musical that became a worldwide cult phenomenon. In the image, Peter Hinwood, as the "creature" Rocky, shares the scene with Tim Curry, unforgettable in the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, in full costume complete with makeup, pearl necklace, and glittery corset. Peter Hinwood's original autograph is signed in gold marker directly on the print, accompanied by the character reference "Rocky," written in a large and clearly visible manner. As an actor who retired from acting immediately after this role and makes very few public appearances, his autographs are particularly rare and sought after by collectors. Excellent condition, colors and print perfectly preserved.

The actor: Peter Hinwood

Peter Hinwood (Bromley, England, May 17, 1946) is a former British actor and antiques dealer, known almost exclusively for his iconic performance as Rocky, the muscular and nearly mute creature fashioned by Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). Before this role, he worked as a professional model and appeared as the god Hermes in the television miniseries The Adventures of Ulysses and as Guy in the horror film Tam Lin (1970) by Roddy McDowall. After Rocky Horror, Hinwood retired almost completely from show business, with only a small role in Derek Jarman's film Sebastiane (1976), choosing to dedicate himself to the antiques trade between London and Tangier. In 2025, he returned briefly to the spotlight with an appearance in the documentary Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror, a testament to the enduring legacy of a role that, although brief, remains one of the most iconic in the history of cult cinema.

What is an original autographed photograph?

An original autographed photograph is a print on which the actor's signature has been applied directly to the surface in a certified presence, without intermediaries. It is distinguished from reproductions by the spontaneity of the graphic gesture, the irregular pressure of the stroke, and the three-dimensionality of the ink on the photographic paper. In addition to these visual elements, it includes an MTM Letter of Authenticity (LOA) provided free of charge, along with a COA Certificate of Authenticity from an internationally recognized independent body. The collectible value of an autographed photograph grows over time in relation to the popularity of the subject and the rarity of the signature, and is even more sought after when, as in this case, it comes from an actor who grants very few autograph opportunities.
