Autographed Photograph Marcell Jacobs – Tokyo 2020 100m Olympic Gold – COA Included

Marcell Jacobs's autographed photograph: the celebration of the world's fastest man

A large-format color photograph portrays Marcell Jacobs in a moment of pure celebration, with his fist raised to the sky and the Italian tricolor wrapped around his shoulders, during an international track and field event. The shot, in 29x20.2 cm format, captures the sprinter in the Italy jersey and the radiant smile that characterizes his moments of triumph, the same ones that led him to become the first Italian in history to win Olympic gold in the 100-meter dash. The original autograph, applied with a blue marker in a broad, fluid stroke, is clearly visible on the left side of the image. An unmissable collector's item for those who lived the thrill of the historic Tokyo 2020 golden double and for fans of Italian track and field.

The athlete: Marcell Jacobs

Lamont Marcell Jacobs Jr. was born in El Paso, Texas, on September 26, 1994, to an American father and an Italian mother originally from Desenzano del Garda, where he moved as a child with his mother. He began practicing track and field at the age of ten, distinguishing himself in both sprinting and the long jump. On August 1, 2021, he wrote a historic page in Italian sport by winning the gold medal in the 100-meter dash at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, with a record time of 9.80 seconds, still a European record, becoming the first Italian to qualify for an Olympic 100-meter final and to win it. In the same edition, he also won gold in the 4x100 meter relay. In 2022, he became the world indoor champion in the 60 meters in Belgrade, while he won the European 100-meter title for two consecutive editions, in Munich 2022 and Rome 2024, where he also triumphed in the relay. A member of the Fiamme Oro of the State Police, Marcell Jacobs remains the iconic figure of Italian athletics in the new millennium.

What is an original autographed photograph?

An original autographed photograph is a unique piece in which the artist's signature has been applied directly to the print, without intermediaries or mechanical reproductions. It is recognized by verifiable elements such as the irregular pressure of the stroke, the three-dimensionality of the ink on the paper, and the spontaneity of the graphic gesture, elements absent in printed signatures or facsimiles. Added to this is the MTM Letter of Authenticity (LOA), issued free of charge, with the possibility of a third-party COA for internationally recognized protection. The value of an autographed photograph grows over time in relation to the popularity and sporting results of the signer.
