The Master: Horacio Pagani

Horacio Pagani (Casilda, Argentina, November 10, 1955) is one of the greatest living automotive designers and engineers. Moving to Italy in 1983, drawn by Lamborghini's genius, he founded Pagani Automobili in San Cesario sul Panaro (Modena) in 1992. His philosophy of combining art and technology revolutionized the hypercar sector: first the Pagani Zonda (1999), then the Huayra (2011), and finally the Utopia (2022) with its Roadster variant presented at Monterey Car Week on August 16, 2024, at Quail Lodge in California. An absolute pioneer of composite materials in the automotive industry, he has developed over forty composite formulas, including the patented Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62. The Utopia Roadster is powered by a Pagani V12 6.0L twin-turbo developed exclusively by Mercedes-AMG, with 864 hp, 1,100 Nm of torque, and a dry weight of 1,280 kg. Production is limited to 130 units, with a starting price of 3.1 million euros. Each is custom-made for the owner.
