Roberto Pupo Moreno (Rio de Janeiro, February 11, 1959) is a Brazilian racing driver with a long and adventurous career in Formula 1, which saw him at the wheel of numerous teams between 1982 and 1995. Called by Colin Chapman for his championship debut with the prestigious Team Lotus at the 1982 Dutch Grand Prix, replacing the injured Nigel Mansell, Moreno then wore the colors of teams such as AGS, Coloni, EuroBrun, Benetton, Jordan, and Minardi. The highlight of his career came with the splendid second place at the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix with Benetton, his only championship podium. Winner of the International Formula 3000 championship in 1988 and three times of the Australian Grand Prix, he is a beloved figure among motorsport enthusiasts.
