Gene Gnocchi, pseudonym of Eugenio Ghiozzi (Fidenza, March 1, 1955), is an Italian comedian, cabaret artist, actor, writer, and television host. A law graduate, after a brief experience as a lawyer and as frontman of the group I Desmodromici, he debuted as a comedian at Zelig in Milan in 1989. He formed a highly successful artistic duo with Teo Teocoli in programs such as Scherzi a parte and Mai dire Gol, and throughout his career he hosted important shows such as L'approfondimento on Rai3, La Domenica Sportiva and the comic cover of Dimartedì on La7. In 2016 he participated in the Sanremo Festival. Author of numerous books, including Una lieve imprecisione, Gene Gnocchi is known for his surreal and sharp humor, ranging from political satire to sports comedy.
