Turin

Torino FC, founded in 1906, is one of the most historic clubs in Italian football. Known for its maroon jerseys and for the legendary Grande Torino of the 1940s, it has won 7 Scudetti and 5 Coppa Italia. The bull is the symbol of the city of Turin.

The Granata Story

Torino Football Club was founded on December 3, 1906, by a group of dissidents from Juventus and Internazionale Torino, at the instigation of the Swiss Alfred Dick. The maroon (granata) colors, chosen in the club's early years, quickly became the defining symbol of an entire city, in contrast to the black and white of their city rival. The first Scudetto arrived in 1927-28, but it was in the 1940s that Torino entered legend with Grande Torino, a legendary team capable of winning five consecutive Scudetti between 1942-43 and 1948-49 under the guidance of Ferruccio Novo, fielding a starting eleven almost entirely made up of national team players. Grande Torino, a symbol of post-war Italian football, was tragically wiped out on May 4, 1949, in the Superga Air Disaster, when the plane carrying the team back from Lisbon crashed into the Turin Basilica: Valentino Mazzola, Ezio Loik, Mario Rigamonti, Aldo Ballarin, Eusebio Castigliano, Romeo Menti, Guglielmo Gabetto, Virgilio Maroso, Pierino Operto, Ruggero Grava, Dino Ballarin, Emile Bongiorni, Julius Schubert, Giuseppe Grezar, Franco Ossola, Mario Tomà, Sauro Tomà, Renato Casalbore, and Luigi Giuliano died, along with the technical staff. The 1948-49 Scudetto was awarded posthumously. The seventh Scudetto arrived in 1975-76 under Luigi Radice with the scoring duo Pulici-Graziani, Claudio Sala, and Patrizio Sala, the last triumph for the granata club. In total, the granata have won 7 Scudetti, 5 Coppa Italia titles, and 1 Mitropa Cup. Among the great legends of Toro are Valentino Mazzola, Paolo Pulici, Francesco Graziani, Claudio Sala, Aldo Agroppi, Renato Zaccarelli, Roberto Salvadori, Giorgio Ferrini (record holder for appearances), and captain Ricardo Rodríguez.

Torino jerseys: autographed store, player issued, and match worn

The Torino jerseys available on MTM Memorabilia represent a high-level collectible documentation of the granata club. The catalog includes three distinct types of official jerseys. Autographed store jerseys are commercial versions signed by the protagonists of granata history, from the 1976 Scudetto champions to contemporary players. Player issued jerseys are official examples assigned by the club to players for training, the bench, or as reserves, identical to those used in games but not worn in official matches. Match worn jerseys are actually worn on the field during official competitions, the rarest and most sought-after piece by international collectors. Each jersey covers different seasons and protagonists: from the Ennerre, Le Coq Sportif, Adidas, Ennerre, and Lotto eras of the Seventies-Nineties to the Asics, Diadora, Kappa, and Joma eras of the new millennium, with historic sponsors like Talmone, Indesit, Beretta, Reale Mutua, Suzuki, and Edilfornaciai, up to recent seasons. The provenance of each jersey is documented, and its authenticity is verified by our experts.
