The career
Ruud Gullit debuted with HFC Haarlem, then moved to Feyenoord where he won the Dutch title in 1984, and then to PSV Eindhoven with whom he won three consecutive championships. In 1987, AC Milan, under Arrigo Sacchi, marked his consecration: along with Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard, he formed the Dutch trio that revolutionized European football. With the Rossoneri, he won two European Cups (1989, 1990), three league titles, two Intercontinental Cups, and two European Super Cups, securing the Ballon d'Or in 1987.
As captain of the Dutch national team, he led the Oranje to victory in the 1988 European Championship. In 1995, he joined Chelsea, first as a player and then as player-manager. After retiring from playing, he dedicated himself to coaching and became an international television pundit.
