Parma

Parma, founded in 1913, is the symbolic club of the Emilian city. Known for its crusader cross and the golden era of Parmalat in the 1990s, it has won 1 Cup Winners' Cup, 2 UEFA Cups, and 3 Coppa Italia titles with champions such as Zola, Crespo, Cannavaro, Buffon, and Thuram.

The Crusaders' History

Parma Calcio was founded in July 1913 as Verdi Foot Ball Club, in honor of the composer Giuseppe Verdi on the centenary of his birth. The initial yellow and blue colors were soon replaced by the black cross on a white field, the identifying symbol of the Emilian city, from which the nickname "Crusaders" originated. For decades Parma was a provincial club, but it was in the nineties, under the presidency of Calisto Tanzi and with Parmalat sponsorship, that the club experienced the most triumphant decade in its history. Under the guidance of Nevio Scala first and Carlo Ancelotti later, Parma won the 1992-93 Cup Winners' Cup against Antwerp at Wembley, two UEFA Cups (1995 against Juventus and 1999 against Olympique Marseille), three Coppa Italia (1992, 1999, 2002) and one 1993 UEFA Super Cup. The team featured champions of the caliber of Gianfranco Zola, Faustino Asprilla, Tomas Brolin, Hernán Crespo, Juan Sebastián Verón, Lilian Thuram, Fabio Cannavaro, Gianluigi Buffon, Hidetoshi Nakata, Enrico Chiesa, and Diego Fuser, alternating offensive spectacle with one of the strongest defenses in Europe. After the bankruptcy in 2015 and the rebirth as Parma Calcio 1913, the club climbed all the categories starting from Serie D, until its return to Serie A in 2018 and then again in 2024. In total, the Crusaders have won 1 Cup Winners' Cup, 2 UEFA Cups, 3 Coppa Italia, 1 UEFA Super Cup, and 1 Italian Super Cup. Among the great legends of Parma are Gianfranco Zola, Faustino Asprilla, Hernán Crespo, Fabio Cannavaro, Gianluigi Buffon, Lilian Thuram, and Enrico Chiesa.

Parma Jerseys: Autographed, Player-Issued, and Match-Worn

The Parma jerseys available on MTM Memorabilia represent a high-level collectible documentation of the Crusaders club. The catalog includes three distinct types of official jerseys. Autographed store jerseys are commercial versions signed by the protagonists of the Ducal history, from the champions of the Parmalat era to contemporary players. Player-issued jerseys are official items assigned by the club to players for training, bench, or reserves, identical to game-worn ones but not used in official matches. Match-worn jerseys are actually worn on the field during official competitions, the rarest and most sought-after item by international collectors. Each jersey covers different seasons and protagonists: from the Umbro, Lotto, Puma, Champion, Diadora, and Kappa years of European triumphs in the nineties, with the legendary Parmalat sponsor, Errea in recent years, up to the current Macron and Erreà seasons. The provenance of each jersey is documented, and authenticity is verified by our experts.
