Måneskin

Måneskin

Måneskin are an Italian rock band formed in Rome in 2016, consisting of Damiano David (vocals), Victoria De Angelis (bass), Thomas Raggi (guitar), and Ethan Torchio (drums). Launched in 2017 after placing second on X Factor Italia, they captivated a global audience by winning the Sanremo Music Festival and the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with "Zitti e buoni" — making them the first Italian rock band to triumph in the European competition. They have sold approximately 40 million copies of albums and singles, received a Grammy Awards nomination, and brought Italian rock to global charts.

The artistic journey

Måneskin formed in Rome in November 2015 when fourteen-year-old Victoria De Angelis (bass) reconnected with Damiano David to form a band, involving Thomas Raggi (guitar), a middle school friend, and Ethan Torchio (drums), found through a Facebook ad. The name Måneskin — "moonlight" in Danish, De Angelis's mother tongue — was chosen for the Pulse High School Band Contest, which the group won in 2016. The national breakthrough came in 2017 with second place in the eleventh edition of X Factor Italia, leading to a contract with Sony Music and the debut EP Chosen. In 2018, they released their first album Il ballo della vita, driven by the single Torna a casa, and embarked on a national tour that was entirely sold out. 2021 marked their international breakthrough: they won the 71st edition of the Sanremo Festival with Zitti e buoni, included in their second album Teatro d'ira - Vol. I, and with the same song, they triumphed at the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, becoming the first rock band to win since Lordi in 2006. Their cover of Beggin' went globally viral on TikTok, while I Wanna Be Your Slave entered world charts and the Billboard Global. In 2023, their third album Rush! was released, produced by Max Martin, preceded by Supermodel, The Loneliest, and Honey (Are U Coming?), followed by a world tour that ended in summer 2024. In late 2024, the group went on official hiatus for solo projects: Damiano released Funny Little Fears (2025), Victoria embarked on a DJ career with Get Up Bitch! feat. Anitta, Thomas debuted with Masquerade (December 2025) produced by Tom Morello. The band's return is expected in late 2025 with an announced 2026 world tour.

Why collect a Måneskin autograph

An original Måneskin autograph is one of the most sought-after pieces in contemporary Italian music collecting and the entire post-Eurovision 2021 era. The Roman group is considered the most significant Italian rock phenomenon of the last twenty years, capable of bringing Italian-sung rock to the world stage after decades of absence and winning unprecedented awards including American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV VMAs, MTV EMAs, and a Grammy nomination. The collective signature of the four members is particularly valuable on the covers of Teatro d'ira - Vol. I and Rush! vinyls and CDs, on posters from the 2022-2024 world tour, on iconic photographs from the 2021 Eurovision performance, and on memorabilia related to the historic Sanremo period. The collectible value is supported by the official hiatus declared from 2024, which has made group appearances rarer, and by the anticipation for the 2026 world reunion tour. A Måneskin autograph is a piece of the most recent history of European rock and global Italian pop culture.
