The Biancoceleste History
Società Sportiva Lazio was founded on January 9, 1900, by a group of nine officers and sports enthusiasts in Piazza della Libertà in Rome. It is the oldest multi-sport club in Lazio and one of the oldest in Italy. The sky blue and white colors were chosen in honor of Greece and the Olympic Games, hence the historical connection with the eagle symbol. The first Scudetto arrived in 1974 with Tommaso Maestrelli's Lazio, a legendary team led by Giorgio Chinaglia, an authentic goalscorer and symbol of an era. In the 1990s, under the presidency of Sergio Cragnotti, Lazio experienced the most triumphant decade in its history: with Sven-Göran Eriksson on the bench, they won the historic Scudetto in 2000, the 1999 Cup Winners' Cup, two Coppa Italia trophies, the 1999 UEFA Super Cup, and numerous national trophies, fielding champions such as Pavel Nedvěd, Juan Sebastián Verón, Hernán Crespo, Alessandro Nesta, and Diego Simeone. In the third millennium, Lazio confirmed its role as a protagonist of Italian football with successes under Simone Inzaghi (Coppa Italia 2019, Supercoppa Italiana 2019) and the era of Maurizio Sarri. In total, the Biancocelesti have won 2 Scudetti, 7 Coppa Italia, 5 Supercoppa Italiana, 1 Cup Winners' Cup, and 1 UEFA Super Cup. Among the great symbols of Lazio's history are Giorgio Chinaglia, Bruno Giordano, Beppe Signori, Pavel Nedvěd, Alessandro Nesta, Hernán Crespo, and captain Ciro Immobile.
Lazio Jerseys: Autographed Store, Player Issued, and Match Worn
The Lazio jerseys available on MTM Memorabilia represent a high-level collectible documentation of the Biancoceleste club. The catalog includes three distinct types of official jerseys. Autographed store jerseys are commercial versions signed by Lazio's historical figures, from the 1974 Scudetto champions to Cragnotti's Lazio players and contemporary stars. Player issued jerseys are official samples assigned by the club to players for training, bench, or reserves, identical to game-worn jerseys but not used in official matches. Match worn jerseys are actually worn on the field during official competitions, the rarest and most sought-after item in international collecting. Each jersey covers different seasons and protagonists: from the Pouchain and NR years of the seventies and eighties to the Umbro, Puma, Adidas eras of Cragnotti's triumphs, Cirio, Banca di Roma, INA Assitalia, Marchio Italia, and Binance as historical sponsors, up to recent Mizuno seasons. The provenance of each jersey is documented, and authenticity is verified by our experts.
