The Black and White History
Juventus was founded on November 1, 1897, by a group of students from the D'Azeglio high school in Turin, and in 1903, they adopted the famous black and white striped jersey inspired by Notts County. The first Scudetto arrived in 1905, but it was in the 1930s that Edoardo Agnelli's Juve won the Quinquennio d'Oro (1930-1935) with five consecutive Scudetti, shaping the club's identity as a dominant force in Italian football. The post-war era brought the "Magic Trio" Boniperti-Hansen-Charles and new successes, but the international golden decade arrived under Giovanni Trapattoni in the 1980s, with the historic 1985 European Cup against Liverpool, won in Brussels on a night marked by the Heysel tragedy. In the 1990s, Marcello Lippi's Juventus conquered the 1996 Champions League with Del Piero, Vialli, Ravanelli, and Zidane, as well as three consecutive Champions League finals between 1996 and 1998. After Calciopoli and Serie B in 2006-07, the club returned to the top with nine consecutive Scudetti between 2012 and 2020 under Antonio Conte and Massimiliano Allegri, with two Champions League finals in 2015 and 2017. In total, the Bianconeri have won 36 Scudetti (an Italian record), 2 Champions League/European Cups, 15 Coppa Italia titles, and numerous international trophies. Eight players have won the Ballon d'Or while wearing the black and white jersey: Omar Sívori, Paolo Rossi, Michel Platini (three times), Roberto Baggio, Zinédine Zidane, and Pavel Nedvěd.
Juventus Jerseys: autographed store, player issued, and match worn
The Juventus jerseys available on MTM Memorabilia represent a high-level collectible documentation of the Bianconeri club. The catalog includes three distinct types of official jerseys. Autographed store jerseys are commercial versions signed by the protagonists of Juventus history, from the champions of the Quinquennio d'Oro to the players of the nine consecutive Scudetti, up to contemporary stars. Player-issued jerseys are official items assigned by the club to players for training, benches, or reserves, identical to game jerseys but not used in official matches. Match-worn jerseys are actually worn on the field during official competitions, the rarest and most sought-after item by international collectors. Each jersey covers different seasons and protagonists: from the Kappa years of the 1980s-1990s to the Lotto and Nike eras of European triumphs, Ariston, Upim, Sony, Tamoil, FIAT, BetClic, and Jeep as historical sponsors, up to recent Adidas seasons. The provenance of each jersey is documented, and its authenticity is verified by our experts.
