He is the foreign player with the most Serie A appearances ever, and is currently the Nerazzurri vice-president.

Career

Javier Adelmar Zanetti was born in Buenos Aires on August 10, 1973. Nicknamed Pupi or El Tractor for his inexhaustible physical endurance and ability to cover every area of the field with disarming professionalism, he is universally recognized as one of the greatest Argentine footballers in history and one of the best defenders of his generation. He began his career in Argentina with Talleres and then Banfield. In 1995, he moved to Inter, a team to which he would dedicate almost his entire professional career—a nearly unique case in modern football. He became the Nerazzurri captain in 2001 after Roberto Ayala's departure and held the armband continuously until his retirement in 2014. With Inter, he achieved milestones that enshrined him in the club's history: he holds the absolute record for appearances in the Nerazzurri shirt, with 858 official matches, and is the most successful player in Inter's history with sixteen trophies won, including five consecutive Scudetti from 2005-06 to 2009-10, four Coppa Italia titles, four Supercoppa Italiana titles, a UEFA Cup in 2009-10, and above all, the historic UEFA Champions League 2009-10, conquered in Madrid under the guidance of José Mourinho in the season of the legendary Treble, followed by the triumph in the FIFA Club World Cup the same year. With 1114 official matches played, he ranks seventh in the world for most career appearances, and he is the foreign player with the most appearances in Serie A ever, with 615. With the Argentine national team, he made 145 appearances, participating in three World Cups (1998, 2002, and 2010) and winning the Copa América in 1993 and the Silver Medal at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics. After retiring, he assumed the role of Inter's vice-president, a position he still holds, continuing to be one of the most respected and authoritative management figures in Italian and world football.

Why collect a Javier Zanetti autograph

An original Javier Zanetti autograph represents an authentic piece of Italian and international football history from the last thirty years. His figure transcends played football to become a symbol of values that are increasingly rare in the world of professional sports today: loyalty to a club for almost twenty years, irreproachable professionalism, constant humanitarian commitment through the PUPI Foundation, which has been helping children in need in Argentina for years. Winner of sixteen trophies with Inter, including the legendary 2009-10 Treble — Scudetto, Coppa Italia, and Champions League in a single season, a feat never before achieved by an Italian club — Zanetti is remembered as the captain of captains of modern Italian football. His trajectory places him among the most loved icons, even beyond the Nerazzurri fan base, recognized as a sporting and human example by fans of rival teams as well. The value of his autographs is supported by his status as a living legend of Inter — now the club's vice-president — and his international recognition as an ambassador of Italian football in the world. Signed jerseys, photographs, balls, and memorabilia related to his successes are among the most sought-after items by Inter collectors and others, with a collectible value that continues to grow over time due to the increasing scarcity of signed pieces on the market.
