Career
Ivano Bordon was born in Venice on April 13, 1951. Having come up through the Venezia youth academy, he made his Serie A debut at a very young age with Inter in 1968 and quickly became the Nerazzurri's starting goalkeeper, a role he would hold for fifteen consecutive seasons until 1983. With Inter, he won two Scudetti (1970-71 and 1979-80) and one Coppa Italia, building a career of extraordinary consistency and reliability. His nickname "Pallottola" (Bullet), coined by Sandro Mazzola, encapsulated his lightning-fast reflexes and cool, rational playing style. He left Inter in 1983 for Sampdoria, where he played three seasons, and ended his career at Brescia in 1987. With the Italian national team, he participated in the 1978, 1982, and 1986 World Cups, lifting the World Cup in Spain '82 under the guidance of Enzo Bearzot. As a goalkeeping coach, he was part of Marcello Lippi's staff that won the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In 2022, he was inducted into the Inter Hall of Fame.
Why collect an Ivano Bordon autograph
An original Ivano Bordon autograph represents an authentic piece of Italian and world football history. A double World Champion — as a player in 1982 and as a goalkeeping coach in 2006 — Bordon is one of the very few figures in international football to have won two World Cups in different roles, a condition that gives his memorabilia an absolutely unique collectible value. His long tenure at Inter, culminating in his induction into the Nerazzurri Hall of Fame in 2022, gives his autographs strong sentimental and historical value for Inter fans and for enthusiasts of Italian football from the 1970s and 1980s. His natural reservedness and limited public presence make Bordon's autographs particularly rare on the collecting market, a condition that supports their economic value over time. Every photograph, jersey, or piece of memorabilia signed by Bordon is a collectible investment with steadily increasing value.
