Irama

Irama

Irama, stage name of Filippo Maria Fanti (Carrara, December 20, 1995), is one of the most celebrated Italian singer-songwriters of his generation. Winner of the seventeenth edition of Amici di Maria De Filippi in 2018, he has participated six times in the Sanremo Festival between 2016 and 2025, becoming the second artist with the most certified copies in the history of the event. With 43 platinum and 4 gold records, he has sold over 3.2 million FIMI certified units. On June 11, 2026, he will debut at the Stadio Meazza in San Siro.

The artistic journey

Filippo Maria Fanti was born in Carrara on December 20, 1995, and moved to Monza at the age of eight. He started writing his first songs at seven, inspired by Italian singer-songwriters Fabrizio De André, Lucio Battisti, and Francesco Guccini, as well as international artists Drake and Ed Sheeran. He chose the stage name Irama — an anagram of his middle name "Maria" and a Malay word meaning "rhythm." In 2016, he participated in the 66th Sanremo Festival in the New Proposals category with "Cosa resterà," placing seventh. The following year, he entered Maria De Filippi's Amici and in May 2018 won the seventeenth edition, securing a contract with Warner Music. The single "Nera" became the 2018 summer hit and earned a triple platinum certification. In the same year, he released the EP "Plume" (double platinum), the second album "Giovani" (first on the FIMI chart), and opened three Italian dates of Laura Pausini's tour. In 2019, he returned to Sanremo with "La ragazza con il cuore di latta," placing seventh. In 2020, he won the first edition of Amici Speciali. He returned to Sanremo in 2021 with "La genesi del tuo colore" (fifth place), in 2022 with "Ovunque sarai" (fourth), in 2024 with "Tu no" (fifth), and in February 2025 with "Lentamente" (ninth, gold record). In 2023, he released his fourth album "Il giorno in cui ho smesso di pensare" (triple platinum), in 2024 he signed "Antologia della vita e della morte" and sold out the Arena di Verona. On November 7, 2025, "Senz'anima" was released, followed by "Tutto tranne questo" (January 2026) and "Cabana" (May 2026). On June 11, 2026, he debuted as a headliner at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in San Siro, a historic milestone for an artist of his generation. He has collected 43 platinum records and 4 gold records, for over 3.2 million FIMI certified units.

Why collect an Irama autograph

An original Irama autograph is one of the most sought-after pieces in contemporary Italian music collecting and among the generation of singer-songwriters born from talent shows. Irama is considered one of the absolute protagonists of the Italian scene post-2018, the artist with the second-most certified copies in the history of the Sanremo Festival after Mahmood, and a winner of accolades ranging from platinum records to generational summer hits. His signature is particularly valuable on the covers of vinyl records and CDs of "Plume," "Giovani," "Il giorno in cui ho smesso di pensare," and "Antologia della vita e della morte," on posters from stadium and arena tours, on iconic photographs from Sanremo performances, and on memorabilia related to his historic debut at the Meazza Stadium in San Siro on June 11, 2026. The collectible value is further supported by his victory in Amici 2018 and Amici Speciali 2020, his continuous presence in the FIMI charts, and his cross-cutting fan base that unites teen audiences with admirers of contemporary Italian singer-songwriting.
