Winner of an Academy Award for Best Actress for The Queen (2006), she is one of the few performers in history to have achieved the Triple Crown of Acting (Oscar, Emmy, and Tony Award). A Dame Commander of the British Empire since 2003, she has collected four Emmy Awards and four BAFTAs. She continues to star in successful series and films such as Fast & Furious, 1923, and The Thursday Murder Club (2025).

The artistic journey

Helen Lydia Mironoff was born in London on July 26, 1945, into a family of Russian origin: her grandfather Pyotr Vasilyevich Mironov was a tsarist diplomat who was stranded in England after the Russian Revolution of 1917. After attending the New College Speech and Drama, at the age of eighteen she joined the National Youth Theatre, where she attracted attention with her Shakespearean Cleopatra. In 1967 she joined the Royal Shakespeare Company, quickly becoming one of the leading interpreters of British theatre. She made her film debut in 1968 with Herostratus and in the 1970s she alternated classical theatre with avant-garde experiments with Peter Brook. Her cinematic consecration came in the 1980s with The Long Good Friday (1980), Excalibur (1981) and Cal (1984), which earned her the Palme d'Or at Cannes for best actress. In the 1990s she starred in the series Prime Suspect, a role that brought her two consecutive BAFTAs and two Emmys. In 2006 she reached the pinnacle of her career with Stephen Frears' The Queen, where she played Queen Elizabeth II during the days of Lady Diana's death: she won the Oscar, the Golden Globe, the BAFTA and the Volpi Cup at the Venice Film Festival. In 2003 she was awarded the title of Dame Commander of the British Empire. In 2013 she won the Tony Award with The Audience, again in the role of the Queen, completing the Triple Crown of Acting. Also active in commercial cinema, she took part in RED (2010), National Treasure, Hitchcock and the Fast & Furious 8, 9 and Fast X (2023) sagas. In 2023 she also starred in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Barbie and Golda. From 2022 to 2025 she stars in the series 1923, a prequel to Yellowstone. In 2025 she stars in MobLand and The Thursday Murder Club (Netflix) directed by Chris Columbus.

Why collect an autograph of Helen Mirren

An original autograph of Helen Mirren is one of the most prestigious pieces in international cinematic and theatrical collecting. Considered one of the greatest living actresses, Dame Helen Mirren is one of the few performers in the world to have won the Triple Crown of Acting with an Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award, as well as an impressive record of four Emmys, four BAFTAs and a Golden Globe. Her signature is particularly valuable on iconic photographs from her role as Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen (2006), on posters of Prime Suspect and the RED and Fast & Furious sagas, on memorabilia related to her Shakespearean interpretations with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and on posters of the 1923 series and the recent The Thursday Murder Club (2025). The collectible value is further supported by the title of Dame Commander of the British Empire conferred on her in 2003 by the Queen herself, by the extraordinary continuity of her career which at 80 still sees her starring in global franchises, and by the rarity of her public appearances linked to red carpet events and high-profile international festivals.
