Career
Giorgio Chiellini was born in Pisa on August 14, 1984, and developed his football career at Livorno, with whom he won the Serie C1 championship in 2001/02. He joined Juventus in 2005 and, from that moment on, he remained with the Bianconeri for seventeen consecutive seasons, becoming an absolute icon and captain. With Juventus, he achieved a historic record of nine consecutive Scudetti from 2011/12 to 2019/20, five Coppa Italia titles, and reached two Champions League finals. A central defender with an imposing physique, a natural leader, and an tireless warrior, he was the benchmark for the Italian defense for over a decade. The pinnacle of his career came in the summer of 2021 when, as captain, he led the Italian national team to victory in UEFA Euro 2020 at Wembley—the second European title in Azzurri history.
