Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio was founded on October 17, 1907, in Bergamo, taking its name from the heroine of Greek mythology famous for her speed and athletic ability. The black and blue (Nerazzurri) colors have always characterized the Orobic club, an expression of the sporting and industrious identity of the Lombard city.
