Daniele Franceschini (Rome, January 13, 1976) is an Italian midfielder who built a solid and professional career spanning over a decade in Serie A. Having grown up in Lazio's youth sector, he gained most of his experience with Chievo Verona, where he played for eight seasons as a protagonist, participating in the historic fairy tale of the "clivensi" in the top league. In 2006, he joined Sampdoria, where coach Walter Mazzarri entrusted him in the 2007/2008 season with the role of left-central midfielder in his 3-5-2 formation, making him an undisputed starter and a fundamental tactical piece in the blucerchiato lineup. In that season, he made 27 appearances in Serie A, scoring 2 decisive goals, including the 91st-minute equalizer against Cagliari. His experience and reliability made him one of the pillars of Sampdoria's midfield during those years. Today, Daniele Franceschini is the coach of the Italian Under-17 national team, continuing his career in football with the same dedication shown on the field.
