After starting his career at ASEC Mimosas and developing his football skills between Belgium and France, he burst onto the scene at Lille under the guidance of Rudi Garcia, winning the Ligue 1-Coupe de France double in the 2010/2011 season. The Ivorian talent then took him to Arsenal and subsequently to Roma, where he reunited with Garcia as coach and established himself as one of the fastest forwards in Serie A. With the Ivory Coast National Team, he won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 in Equatorial Guinea, in addition to participating in two World Cup editions. After an experience in China with Hebei China Fortune, Gervinho returned to Italy in August 2018, embracing the Parma Calcio 1913 project, where he chose the number 27 shirt and became a protagonist of the 2019/2020 season, contributing with goals and strong performances to the ducal team's stay in Serie A.
