Giampaolo Pazzini (Pescia, August 2, 1984) is one of the most prolific Italian strikers of his generation. After debuting with Atalanta, he established himself at Fiorentina and Sampdoria, where he formed one of Serie A's most beloved attacking duos with Antonio Cassano, before going on to play for Inter and Milan. In 2007, he made history by scoring a hat-trick for the Under-21 team against England, becoming the first player ever to score at the new Wembley Stadium. He earned caps and scored goals for the senior national team, participating in the 2010 World Cup. Arriving at Verona in 2015, he became its captain and icon: in 2016/2017, he was the top scorer in Serie B with 23 goals, leading the "Gialloblù" to promotion.
