Federico Peluso (Rome, January 20, 1984) is a former Italian defender, a left-back who could also play as a central defender, who built a solid and long career in Italian football between Serie A and Serie B. Having grown up in the Lazio youth academy, he played in the lower divisions with Pro Vercelli and Ternana before establishing himself in Serie A with Atalanta. The peak of his career came at Juventus, with whom he won the Italian championship title in the 2012/13 season. In the summer of 2014, he was transferred to Sassuolo, a club with which he built the longest chapter of his professional career, collecting 192 appearances in the black and green shirt over eight seasons. With Sassuolo, he was a protagonist in some of the most exciting seasons in the club's history, including their first European adventures. Having retired in 2022, he has embarked on a career as a coach and technical collaborator.
