Paolo Foglio (Gazzaniga, September 8, 1975) is an Italian defender who played almost 150 Serie A matches during his career, predominantly as a right-back. Having come through Atalanta's youth system, after spells with Fiorenzuola and Hellas Verona — with whom he achieved promotion to Serie A — he joined Reggina in the 1999/2000 season, wearing the number 18 shirt in the year of the Amaranto's historic debut in the top flight. In that team, coached by Franco Colomba, he played alongside young talents such as Andrea Pirlo and Roberto Baronio. He subsequently played for Venezia, Chievo, Atalanta again, Siena, Genoa, Ascoli, and AlbinoLeffe, building a long and solid career in Italian professional football.
