Marco Andreolli's Player Issued Shirt: an Exclusive Serie A 2010/11 Relic

The first official ChievoVerona shirt for the 2010/2011 season, in its long-sleeved Player Issued version, is an authentic and extraordinarily rare relic. Produced by the technical sponsor Givova, it features technical characteristics reserved exclusively for the team supply: a professional cut, match materials, and superior quality finishes compared to the commercial version for fans. On the front, the main sponsor Banca Popolare di Verona is prominently displayed and, in the upper left, the second sponsor MIDAC Batteries. The right sleeve has the official Serie A TIM patch sewn on, while the left sleeve features the commemorative patch for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy — 1861 > 2011 — an exclusive distinction of this season, present on all Serie A 2010/2011 shirts to celebrate the nation's sesquicentennial. The back is personalized with the name ANDREOLLI and the number 3, in size L, with the characteristic graphic of the medieval knight of ChievoVerona printed at the bottom. An example preserved in Excellent condition, with vivid colors and perfectly intact fabrics.

The Player: Marco Andreolli

Marco Andreolli (Lodi, 10 June 1986) is an Italian central defender who grew up in Inter's youth sector, a club with which he won the Coppa Italia Primavera and the Campionato Primavera. After experiences at Roma, Vicenza, and Sassuolo, in August 2010, he was permanently acquired by ChievoVerona for 2 million euros, making his debut as a starter on the first day of the championship against Catania. With the Gialloblù, he played three seasons in Serie A, totaling 79 league appearances and establishing himself as one of the most reliable central defenders in the league. His performances in Verona attracted the attention of Inter, who re-purchased half of his contract in January 2011 while letting him continue playing at Chievo. In 2013, he definitively returned to Inter, with whom he also played in the Europa League. He subsequently moved to Sevilla as a European vice-champion before ending his high-level career. With the Italian Under-21 national team, he participated in two European Championships in 2007 and 2009. His number 3 shirt from the 2010/2011 season represents the sporting document of the most significant moment of his long career in yellow and blue.

What is a Player Issued shirt?

A Player Issued shirt is a uniform specifically prepared for a particular player but not necessarily worn in an official match. It differs from the commercial version due to a series of precise technical characteristics: professional finishes, match cut and materials, exclusive technical details reserved for the team supply. It is hierarchically superior to the store version and inferior only to the Match Worn. For collectors, it represents an authentic piece of extremely high historical and commercial value, often impossible to find on the market years after its production.
