Ezequiel Schelotto (Buenos Aires, May 23, 1989) is an Argentine-Italian footballer, a right-sided midfielder known for his speed, physique, and dribbling ability. His professional career in Italy began with Cesena, a club that acquired him from Banfield's youth academy in 2008 when the Romagna club was playing in Lega Pro Prima Divisione. With the Bianconeri, Schelotto grew and established himself as one of the absolute protagonists of their promotion to Serie B and then, in the 2009/2010 season, of their historic ascent to Serie A: 40 appearances and 6 goals in the cadet league that propelled Cesena into the top league after a 19-year absence. In the 2010/2011 season, he made his Serie A debut on August 28, 2010, in the away match against Roma, making 18 appearances before a loan move to Catania in January 2011. His performances at Cesena earned him his first call-ups to the Italian Under-21 national team. Schelotto would continue his career at Atalanta, Inter, and later in the Premier League with Brighton, before returning to Argentina.
