Cristiano Del Grosso (Geneva, 1983) is an Italian left-back who grew up in the youth teams of Giulianova, a club from his hometown in Abruzzo. After five seasons in the third division, in 2005 he joined Ascoli, making his Serie A debut on August 28 of that year in Ascoli-Milan (1-1). In July 2006, strongly desired by coach Marco Giampaolo, he was sold permanently to Cagliari Calcio, signing a four-year contract. With the Sardinian Rossoblù, he made 39 appearances in total between 2006 and 2008, becoming one of the most reliable elements on the left flank in Serie A seasons. His career then continued with Siena, Atalanta, Bari, SPAL, Venezia, Pescara and other Italian clubs, before concluding with his retirement in 2021 and his transition to coaching.
