Cristiano Doni (Rome, April 1, 1973) is the greatest scorer in Atalanta's history, with 112 goals in the black and blue jersey. Born in Rome and raised in Verona, after a long apprenticeship, he arrived in Bergamo in 1998, quickly becoming captain, playmaker, and an absolute legend of the club. A refined attacking midfielder, skilled in set pieces and runs into the box, he led La Dea through promotions and top-tier seasons, famous for his celebration with his hand under his chin after every goal. In the 2008/2009 season, he scored 9 goals, four of which were against Italian champions Inter. He made 7 appearances for the Italian national team, participating in the 2002 World Cup.
