Robert Józef Kubica (Kraków, December 7, 1984) is one of the most extraordinary racing drivers in recent motorsport history. Debuting in Formula 1 in 2006 with BMW Sauber, he quickly established himself as one of the purest talents in the paddock, winning the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix — the first and only career victory for a Polish driver in Formula 1. His story, however, is marked by the rally crash in February 2011, which caused him severe injuries to his right arm and kept him away from racing for years. His return to Formula 1 in 2019 with Williams was one of the most moving episodes in global motorsport. After F1, he built a brilliant career in endurance racing, winning the European Le Mans Series in 2021 and the WEC title in the LMP2 class in 2023.
