The artist: Antonio Cornacchione

Antonio Cornacchione was born in Montefalcone nel Sannio, in the province of Campobasso, on September 26, 1959. Moving to Milan as a child, where he still lives, he began his artistic career as a comic book writer for Topolino and Tiramolla, before dedicating himself to theater and cabaret. He debuted in 1991 at the Zelig theater in Milan alongside Paolo Rossi, Gianni Palladino, and the trio Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo. In 1992, he won the Forte dei Marmi Award for political satire and became a regular guest on the Maurizio Costanzo Show. In 1998, he joined the cast of the sitcom Casa Vianello, playing the building's doorman alongside Raimondo Vianello and Sandra Mondaini. He became nationally popular thanks to the catchphrase "Povero Silvio!", a satire on the figure of Silvio Berlusconi that also inspired two successful books. Also active in cinema with films such as Bar Sport, Antonio Cornacchione remains one of the historical protagonists of Italian political satire.
