The Midfielder: Francesco Cozza

Francesco Cozza (Cariati, January 19, 1974) is a former Italian footballer, an attacking midfielder who came up through the AC Milan youth system. After experiences at Reggiana, Vicenza, Torino, Lucchese, Cagliari, and Lecce, he had a long association with Reggina, playing several non-consecutive seasons and becoming a true club legend. In January 2005, he moved to Siena, where he remained until the summer of 2006, contributing to the Tuscan club's survival in its first true Serie A season of the new millennium. A midfielder with an uncommon goal-scoring instinct for his role, he was also capable of adapting as a second striker in the various stages of his career.
