Signed photo of Alexis Saelemaekers in the 2023/24 Bologna shirt

A keepsake from one of the most memorable seasons in Bologna's history. The color photograph features Alexis Saelemaekers in the foreground, with his unmistakable platinum hair, wearing the 2023/24 Bologna Away shirt by Macron: white, with a red-and-blue diagonal band, the club crest, and the Saputo sponsor. That season, Thiago Motta's Bologna secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League, returning to Europe's top competition after sixty years. Saelemaekers' original autograph is signed in blue marker on the chest, accompanied by the number 56, his shirt number. The 20.2 x 15.1 cm format is ideal for framing and display.

The footballer: Alexis Saelemaekers

Alexis Saelemaekers (Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, 27 June 1999) is a highly intense and versatile Belgian winger, capable of playing both as a winger and an attacking full-back. Having come through the Anderlecht youth system, he joined Milan in January 2020, becoming one of the key figures in the Rossoneri's resurgence, which culminated in the 2021/22 Scudetto. In the 2023/24 season, he played on loan at Bologna, contributing 32 appearances and 4 goals to the historic fifth-place finish that earned the club a place in the Champions League. After another loan season at Roma, the best of his career in terms of goals scored, he returned to Milan. He made his debut for the Belgian national team in 2020.

What is an original signed photo?

An original signed photo is an image on which the footballer has personally signed with real ink and documented provenance. It can be distinguished from reproductions with printed signatures by verifiable elements: the irregular and natural pressure of the strokes, the texture and reflections of the ink on the surface, and the spontaneity of the signature. Photos depicting a footballer in the shirt of a team he played for for only one season are particularly sought after, as they document a brief and unique chapter in his career.
